Mission & Philosophy
At AOS, we believe in the promise of adaptive optics. We are doing more to bring that promise to the market today by fighting the three major barriers to the mass adoption of adaptive optics: cost, complexity, and inertia. We have designed our systems to be low-cost by inventing new ways of creating the traditionally high-cost items like deformable mirrors, wavefront sensors, and drive electronics using low-cost parts, while creating our systems with sufficient flexibility to use a wide range of existing hardware as well. We are building our AO systems and control software to be smart enough that the system designer need not be an AO expert to use them. We are working to show the world the real promise of AO and how incorporating it into many optical systems can actually reduce the cost of bringing these systems to market.

Exit heading east on Gibson. Follow Gibson about 2 miles to Girard. Turn Left on Girard. The AOS offices are on the north-west corner of Girard and Gibson. Turn into the first driveway on the left and park on the opposite side of the first building.
