Description
WaveTrain is a software package to model adaptive optics and wave-optics systems that is produced by our parent company, MZA Associates Corporation. WaveTrain is free for use on US government projects. We have demonstrated that WaveTrain can be used not only to model wave-optics, but also to directly control hardware in the laboratory. For example, the system shown here that executes a metric-based AO system using a genetic algorithm and the average spot second moment on a camera was implemented in WaveTrain in a matter of minutes.
